The site, which was for an FPV racing β β β βclub that I founded in high school, was meant to spread awareness aboutβ β β βthe club and help provide information to students who were curious, andβ β β β it failed at both. I didn't have enough information to fill the β β β βwebsite, and I used huge 4K videos instead of scaling images and videosβ β β β to load faster. It was fun to make, but this is for sure the website β β β β I'm least proud of. β β β β β β β β [Wix FPV Site β] β β β β β β β βNext, after a four-year hiatus from making any sites, I started coding β β β β [drewwy.web.app β] The Drewwy web app β β β β runs locally on my computer, and was my first attempt at a website β β β βwhere I was the subject. i *hate* this site nowβi don't know what i wasβ β β β thinking. All the jokes are stupid and it hardly gives you any β β β βinformation about me. I made it completely in HTML, and the only reasonβ β β βI still tolerate its existence is the fact that I built it with my own β β β βhands. If I hadn't put so much time into it, I would've already erased β β β β it from the internet. β β β β β β β βAfter that, I made terminalfm.org, which no longer has an active link. β β β β Terminal FM was a project I started working on to use a wide pirate β β β β radio network and "node" like repeaters to have a stable FM radio β β β β station where people around El Paso and Las Cruces could find out β β β β information about ICE, local politics, community impacts, state β β β β spending, and other public information meant to keep our community β β β β safe. Unfortunately, due to the hefty budget of this project, it has β β β βnot come to fruition just yet, but I continue to work on it with other β β β β students in El Paso and Las Cruces. β β β β β β β β About three months ago, I made Drewwy.com V1. Fully ASCII, and β β β β sometimes hard to read and glitchy, drewwy.com was the first site I β β β β made that I was very proud of. I still only used HTML, but I started β β β β adding cool effects and hover animations! Unfortunately, I used the β β β β same Neocities account and domain to make my current site, and almost β β β β all evidence that V1 existed is erased. β β β β β β β βFinally, **THIS SITE** (wow)! As I was making drewwy.com v1, I started β β β βgetting more and more into how to add animations and effects, and this β β β β version is the culmination of that obsession. This is version four of β β β β drewwy.com, and for the first time, I've poured way more time and β β β β energy into it than any of its predecessors. The ghost cursor that β β β β follows you around, the elastic hover states on every text block, the β β β βway the ASCII portrait sits perfectly balanced on the pageβI've stoppedβ β β β treating my website like a throwaway project and started treating it β β β βlike a *place*. A place on the internet that actually feels like me: a β β β β little weird, a little nostalgic, and completely unapologetic about β β β β being neither polished nor professional. β β β β β β β β Every now and then I forget this site exists, rediscover it, feel bad β β β βabout how it looks, delete it, and start over. But this time? This timeβ β β β I think it'll stick around. At least until I learn something new that β β β β makes me want to burn it all down and build version five. β β β β β β β βββββββββββββββββββββββββββββββββββββββββββββββββββββββββββββββββββββββββ β βββββββββββββββββββββββββββββββββββββββββββββββββββββββββββββββββββββββββββββ
